Engagement ring questions
- How much does a custom engagement ring cost at Piccard?
- There is no fixed price because every ring is built to your design, metal, and center stone. Because we are the bench, not a reseller, a custom Piccard ring is often comparable to or less than a mass-produced ring of similar quality. Tell us your budget and we design the best possible ring within it, with no pressure and no surprises.
- Can I bring my own diamond to design an engagement ring?
- Yes. Many clients bring an inherited or independently purchased diamond, natural or lab grown, and we build the ring around it. We can also source a stone for you and show you options at different qualities and budgets. Either way, the design and setting are done by hand at our Hoffman Estates bench.
- How long does a custom engagement ring take to make?
- Most custom rings take roughly three to five weeks from approved design to finished piece: consultation, CAD rendering, a wax model to try on, then casting, polishing, and setting. If you are working toward a proposal date, tell us early and we will build the timeline around it.
